WHAT GOLF CLUBS DO BEGINNERS GOLFERS NEED The different variety

WHAT GOLF CLUB SETS  BEGINNERS GOLFERS NEED

The different variety of golf clubs that a newbie golfer would need can be a big task.

The idea is to have your driver; which is used for teeing off and sometimes hitting from a good lie in the fairways.

Hybrid Club; which is used for driving shots of 150+ yards airborne.

2-to 9-iron: used for hitting, or driving to words the green, usually between 120-190 yards away.

You normally use low-numbered irons for longer shots, and high-numbered irons for shorter shots.

Wedges: is used for hitting short high shots near the green or sand bunkers.

Putters: Putter golf club is normally used for rolling the ball into the hole after the ball is on the green (or occasionally from just off the green).

To figure out which golf iron to use for a specific shot, you must hit the golf club in your set. Then you simply choose the golf club that fits the distance you need to hit.

HOW MANY CLUBS DOES A BEGINNER GOLFER NEED? A LOOK AT GOLFS MOST ESSENTIAL CLUBS

Looking at my first golf clubs, I had a 3-wood, 5-wood, 9-Iron, Wedge, and putter at the age of 13. I didn’t need any more clubs than these, but I did learn my lesson.

In any golf tournament, you are allowed to carry fourteen clubs, so when you are getting started, there is way too many clubs to carry.

A lot of elite golfers can learn a lot by carrying a half-set at any given time.

Simplicity is the key, when you are just getting started and a driver with a large sweet spot is recommended like a 3-wood, hybrid, and some mid-range like a 5,7& 9 iron.

Also, a pitching wedge, a sand wedge, and a putter, so are the essential clubs that you need to take to the golf course.

GETTING INTO GOLF-THE EXPENSE, THE LEARNING CURVE, AND WHAT YOU NEED TO GET STARTED.

Most newbies golfer wrongly thinks and assumes that when you start out in golf, the cost is a fortune or very expensive.

This doesn’t have to be if you are smart you can save money, by making your entry into the sports, for a cheaper cost and simpler clubs. But bear in mind that golf has a very steep learning curve.

Group lessons are one of the best ways to learn, and most driving ranges will offer group lessons, where you make new friends to learn with and there is always strength in numbers.

These groups are of great value to you, then all you will need is a few clubs like a 7-iron and a wedge.

WHAT CLUBS DO YOU NEED AND WHAT THEY ARE FOR?

So you don’t really need a full set of golf clubs when you are just starting out. It is what club you need and the reasons why you need these golf clubs.

THE DRIVER:

if you want to test how far you can hit the ball on a driving range, this is the club that most people use, but really don’t you fall into these bad habits.

Your driver club is what you can use on many tee shots and the secret is to find the fairway.

Really find a driver that you feel comfortable with.

LONG-RANGE SHOTS 200 YARDS +

When you are far away from the flag, accuracy is harder to achieve and the clubs are harder to hit. hybrids are great for making this shot easier as they are more forgiving or you can use your 5-iron. The trick to this shot is to relax and swing smoothly, don’t try to hit as hard as you can.

MID-RANGE SHOTS: AROUND 150 YARDS

This to me, is when golf gets exciting. it is at this distance that you can really attack the course. From this range, you will hit your 7-iron or maybe even a 9-iron., depending on how far you hit the golf ball with these clubs.. Aim at a small target in the smallest part of the green to get the best from honing your skills.

SHORT-RANGE SHOTS: 100 YARDS AND IN

your 9-iron and sand wedge are going to be your friends here. This is where you have to get creative and start to “feel” your shots until you learn how to control distance as you play.

You’re really close and trying to get closer to the hole. here you will be relying on your imagination and touch to create shots. This is something you can spend hours practicing. Low running shots with a 7-iron, the chip and run, are great to learn first and then you keep practicing to get better until you notice improvement.

SHOULD YOU BUY A SET OR INDIVIDUAL CLUB

Golf doesn’t have to be an expensive sport, but it can become pricey. When you are first starting out in beginners lessons you may even be given a club as a loaner. it can be worth buying just a couple of clubs at this time to get you started and make sure you want to pursue golf.

Even as a new golfer, there is a merit in getting fitted. whilst you won’t need an extensive fitting session, some changes to the set-up of the club could make things a lot easier for you. getting things like the length of the clubs and the lie angle can help you a lot.

Fitting is always free with purchase. to become a good putter, you should think about gettig a putting mat for your home so you can practice frequently and hone your skills. Limited distance golf balls, like Birdieballs, are another great way to get extra “homework” in.
